Who are We?

Planned Action Task for Development (PATD) is an indigenous organization formed and registered in 2021 with Uganda Registration Bureau in Uganda by individuals who are passionate about the need to protect the environment. This Strategic Plan (SP) has been developed with the aim of contributing to the National Strategic Plan on environmental conservation and management and within the framework of the National Development Plan III 2020-2025, but more importantly to address the most important environmental issues as emphasized by government of Uganda.

The 2014 Uganda state of the environmental health report shows that Uganda is ranked high among the many countries fast depleting its natural resources and therefore the need to act faster in addressing the related environment challenges.

At national level this SP is linked to the global movement on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) realization but is also anchored to many of the global commitments on environment.

For Uganda, environmental conservation is no longer just a matter of scenic beauty but also largely contributes to the economic survival for both households and the nation at large. This therefore calls for concerted efforts among all stakeholders and well-wishers to make a contribution towards desired environmental outcomes in Uganda.
